Join a growing alliance across Tampa Bay working toward no more unmet needs in foster care and adoption—through shared responsibility, collaboration, and hope.

Why the TBFCAA?

An alliance was proposed as a way to work toward a deeper understanding of the challenges, better interagency communication, developing a collaborative strategy and unlocking new funding opportunities to impact the foster care and adoption throughout the greater Tampa Bay area.

What makes an Alliance different?

Not an Organization

It is an Alliance of business and nonprofit leaders who link arms to move the needle of impact on one specific issue.

“No More” Model

It is a model that dares to ask the question of eradication: by strategically tackling the most critical needs of the cause as a whole, could we move the needle of impact?

Movement-Funding Machine

Brings funding in and sends it out to the movement vs. one particular nonprofit, enabling us to move the needle on the whole cause.

Each year, approximately 175,000 children enter foster care in the United States, and more than 15,000 youth age out without a permanent family.

Approximately 70,000 children in the United States are currently waiting to be adopted, with many more in foster care without permanent families.

Among youth who age out of foster care, approximately 1 in 4 become involved in the criminal justice system within two years, and graduation rates remain significantly lower than their peers.

Children in stable foster placements experience significantly fewer behavioral and emotional challenges.

When a foster child finds themselves in a well-supported and stable foster family, it changes their life forever.

We are building an Alliance of supporters.
